If you are a fan of John Wick universe you heard about The Continental spin off that has been in development since 2018.
The latest news are saying that Colin Woodell has been cast as the lead where he will play a younger version of Winston, who was previously portrayed by Ian McShane in the film franchise.
The mini series (3 episodes only) will follow the origin behind The Continental through the eyes and actions of Winston, who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.
The cast includes Katie McGrath, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi, Marina Mazepa, Jessica Allain, Ben Robson and Vietnamese star Nhung Kate.
Mel Gibson has joined the cast as a character named Cormac.
The project will reportedly be a three-night event limited series, with each episode coming in at both a movie-length (around 90 minutes) and at a movie budget of $20 million each.
The series has officially moved from Starz to Peacock TV with expected debut in 2023.
