Across the 12 global Disney parks, the Disneyland Park in California is the most beloved, with 34.3 million posts under its hashtags on Instagram.

Tokyo Disneyland is the second most popular location, with over 13.6 million posts.

Globally, Magic Kingdom is the most visited theme park in the world, with over 17.7 million visitors each year. 

As we approach 2025, Disney parks around the world are sparkling with signature Disney magic. Whether it’s the twinkling lights on Cinderella Castle or the festive parades, the parks are some of the most Instagrammable spots on the planet, especially when the holiday spirit is in full swing, and a new study has revealed the most picturesque parks.

The study, conducted by Disney travel planning experts MagicGuides, looked at hashtags for each of the 12 global Disney parks on Instagram, ranking them from most to least popular with the platform’s users based on the number of posts under each hashtag. 

Most ‘Instagrammable’ Disney parks: 

California’s Disneyland Park ranks first with over 34.3 million posts under its hashtags. As Walt Disney’s original park, it’s where the magic began in 1955. Classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean and “it’s a small world” continue to enchant visitors of all ages. It’s estimated that the park has a daily income of roughly $5.49 million, and is the second most visited park in the world with over 17 million visitors in 2023. 

In second place is Tokyo Disneyland, with 13.6 million posts under #DisneylandTokyo and #TokyoDisneyland. This park merges classic Disneyland charm with Japanese culture, featuring unique parades and seasonal celebrations and is clearly a fan favorite. 

Taking the third spot is Tokyo DisneySea, with over 11.6 million posts under its hashtags. This park is celebrated for its stunning design, featuring themed ports like the Mediterranean Harbor and the futuristic Port Discovery. DisneySea’s unique attractions, such as Journey to the Center of the Earth, prove very popular and have made it a picturesque park for visitors. 

Magic Kingdom in Florida is the fourth most popular park on Instagram, with an astonishing 8.4 million posts under #Magickingdom. This iconic park is home to Cinderella Castle, home to countless Disney dreams, and it also has iconic attractions and rides like Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion. Magic Kingdom isn’t just popular on Instagram- it’s the most visited theme park in the world, welcoming 17.7 million visitors in 2023 with similar figures expected this year. 

In fifth place, Disneyland Paris has garnered more than 7.7 million posts under its hashtags. Known for its enchanting Sleeping Beauty Castle and magical shows, this park offers a European flair and has attractions like Big Thunder Mountain to enjoy. It’s a popular park and had over 16.1 million visitors last year. 

Coming in sixth is EPCOT, part of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, with 5.2 million posts under #Epcot. The park here is known for its futuristic Spaceship Earth geosphere and World Showcase pavilions, as well as iconic rides and entertainment like the Frozen Ever After ride and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Its annual festivals, including the International Food & Wine Festival, add seasonal appeal. 

Disney’s Animal Kingdom, ranking seventh, has over 4.9 million posts under #AnimalKingdom. This park blends nature and fantasy, offering experiences like Pandora – The World of Avatar and the iconic Expedition Everest ride. With over 8.7 million visitors in 2023, Animal Kingdom is home to over 2,000 animals across 300 species, making it a must-visit for animal enthusiasts. 

Disney California Adventure Park in California comes in eighth place, with 3.8 million posts under #CaliforniaAdventure. Known for its picturesque landscapes and adventurous rides, it provides a more relaxed Disney experience. 

Next in line is Disney’s Hollywood Studios in ninth, with 3.5 million posts under #HollywoodStudios. It’s a hit for film buffs, featuring attractions like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Visitors can also immerse themselves in Toy Story Land, making this park a cinematic adventure. 

Tenth place belongs to Hong Kong Disneyland, with 1.8 million posts under #DisneylandHongKong and #HongKongDisneyland. The park opened in 2005 and is packed with attractions for visitors, including the first Marvel-themed ride at a Disney Park: Iron Man Experience. 

Shanghai Disneyland places 11th, with 461,000 posts under #DisneylandShanghai and #ShanghaiDisneyland. Its centerpiece, the Enchanted Storybook Castle, is the largest Disney castle ever built, and attractions like Tron Lightcycle Power Run make it a futuristic wonderland. 

Finally, in 12th place is Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, with 78,500 posts under #WaltDisneyStudiosPark. This park focuses on the art of filmmaking, with attractions such as Crush’s Coaster and the Avengers Campus – an entire area dedicated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The park is being transformed in 2025-26 and will soon be renamed to ‘Disney Adventure World’ so look out for this change if you are planning to visit. 

Whether it’s the timeless magic of Magic Kingdom or the immersive storytelling of Tokyo DisneySea, each park offers something special for Disney fans around the globe.

Each park’s most relevant hashtags were looked at on Instagram and the number of posts under each was added together and marked. These were then ranked from those with the highest to lowest number of posts.
