OVERALL RECORDS

Nicole Kidman (nominated for “Babygirl”) or Kate Winslet (nominated for “Lee” & “The Regime”) could join a rare group of 5 actors who have won 6 or more Golden Globes for acting (Meryl Streep – 8 wins & Alan Alda, Angela Lansbury, Shirley MacLaine, Jack Nicholson – 6 wins) – Kidman has won 5 Golden Globes for acting (“Being The Ricardos”, “Big Little Lies”, “The Hours”, “Moulin Rouge”, “To Die For”) and Winslet has won 5 Golden Globes for acting (“The Reader”, “Revolutionary Road”, “Mildred Pierce”, “Steve Jobs”, “Mare of Easttown”) and both of them could potentially win their 6th (and in a very rare instance of a double win for Winslet a 7th) acting trophy at the 2025 ceremony (*as a side note, Kidman’s total of Golden Globes won is actually 6 since she also won as a producer of “Big Little Lies”)
Kate Winslet (nominated for “Lee” & “The Regime”) could become the first person to ever win 2 Golden Globes for acting in one night for a different performance on two occasions – she first managed to achieve this feat in 2010 when she won for both “Revolutionary Road” & “The Reader” and she could become the first person to repeat this if she wins for both “Lee” & “The Regime”; by winning both awards and bringing her total to 7 acting Golden Globes wins, Winslet would become the second most awarded actor in the history of the Golden Globes (after Meryl Streep)
