The 97th Academy Awards is set to go out with a bang, as ChatGPT suggests that Adrien Brody and Timothée Chalamet could be involved in another Will Smith v Chris Rock-like incident.
The study, conducted by MyBettingSites.co.uk, gave the AI a prompt of “analysing past trends, character behaviours, and relationships, revealing whether we could witness any crazy Will Smith v Chris Rock-like incidents at this year’s Oscars, with the two rivals for Best Actor set to come to blows over the award.
With Brody’s reputation for being intense and outspoken in interviews and Chalamet’s sensitivity to criticism, the pair could share a ‘tiff’ should any comments be made on the red carpet.
A second prompt was given to the AI tool, which was to “analyse the full set of 2025 Oscars nominations, predicting the winner from each category and providing rationale behind each prediction, taking into account past trends, critic reviews, audience reaction, and all other relevant information.”
And for the biggest award of the night, the Chatbot predicts Anora to take home the Oscar for Best Picture, beating the musical thriller, Emilia Pérez.
For Best Actor, AI envisages Adrien Brody stepping onto the stage to accept his award, for his portrayal of Lászió Tóth being lauded for its depth and emotional resonance.
And when it comes to who Brody will thank first in his acceptance speech, ChatGPT predicts that it will be director Jacques Audiard, as he’s been known to emphasise the importance of the director-actor relationship.
Elsewhere, the tech identified that Demi Moore will take home the crown for Best Actress, for her nuanced performance capturing her characters vulnerability and resilience in The Substance,
Moore, who plays Elisabeth Sparkle in The Substance, will turn to her family first in her acceptance speech – giving a heartfelt message to her daughters, who have been a big part of her emotional journey throughout her career.

When it came to predicting the winner of Best Director, the tech tool forecasts that Sean Baker will come up trumps for Anora, due to his commitment to authenticity.
Edward Norton and Felicity Jones are also anticipated to take home silverware, with both expected to win the prize of Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively.
Outside of the traditional nominations, the technology was prompted to predict who would be best dressed on the night, with Cynthia Ervio coming out on top for her bold, colourful and often statement-making outfits – whereas Timothée Chalamet will take home the crown for best dressed male, topping the likes of Sebastian Stan and Adrien Brody.
